A year ago, when I was searching a perfect location for one of my visuals for "I Died Loved" series, a friend told me about the Hampstead Heath Park. So I went there scout locating - taking photos of the glittering water of the ponds and fell in love with imagery of the landscape completely. There was something about that place. Next day I came there again and I made my shoot but somehow I felt I will make a short movie there at one point as well.

A moment of this came more than one year later, actually last week. Do I need to mention, it was cold as ICE at the time of our shoot? I guess a bit of insanity to create this dream-come-true film was there and I made sure it keep as all warm : )

Hard JOB

His name is Mohamed and he's with Nevs Models Agency. There's something special about him. Obviously, he's handsome, but his personality is very warm 2, plus he likes to smile A LOT...

But there was something REALLY exciting about him.

He's been working a lot with a few BIG NAME PHOTOGRAPHERS, among them most famous are David Lachapelle and Steven Klein.

Now, THAT IS A CHALLENGE FOR ME. To get my ass there among other big names, haaaaa : ) When we did the shoot, his agent not just confirmed that the photographs are great for his portfolio, she was like "I want to put ALL of your photos in his portfolio, I absolutely adore them!"

To make long story short, it's nice to see my photos there next to David Lachapelle ones ... see it HERE : )

She wants to do an interview with me for Project 27 and I'm looking forward to it as the questions she has are much more interesting that the ones usual I get, plus, some of them they are - alelujah - intriguing ! Me, I did a few shoots for her columnist page and let me say - this woman, a fashion designer, she is better at posing than many professional models ...

Or, is it just that my camera happens to love strong character and charisma?

The very first image created for the launch of Rewind Vintage back in the spring 2010. I promise you, someone knew that this Hermes mink coat from the past is gonna go fast, fast, fast! Be careful what you wish for because not even a year after Rewind Vintage was voted best of London in 2010 by Daily Candy. Congratulations !!

I remember one year ago I promised you here that the 2010 will be magical. And have I ever pulled your legs, my dearest readers? Na-a, not me!

So what happened last year really worth mentioning? Honestly, the first 5 months of 2010 were not exactly thrilling for me, quite the opposite. However, the magic hits the fan when, well, the Rocks started to melt...
Now, let's be brutally selective and highlight 10 things that rocked my boat in 2010, shall we ?

Awake Dreams ...

Personally, I always preferred thoughts about my future were a bit blurred, abstract if I may, always keeping my options open. When it was to make a decision for more than three months ahead ... you must be joking? Guess what ... things are changing. As you grow smarter, you trust your intuition more and there's no fear of something more interesting jumping in the picture. Talking trusting your guts one fucking hundred percent.

However, even with the "living in the world of endless possibilities where everything is possible" and always-start-from-from-the-scratch attitude, the last couple of months made me conscious I somehow always religiously was following at least one constant path, without exception, there were no keeping open options here:

It was the need of walking in step with MY PURPOSE.

And here, I did (almost) no mistakes, because when mistake were done, no sleep at night. And troubled restless dreamer can not be walking in step with THE Purpose, can she … or he? So what about that thoughts of the future? Being an abstract as I proudly am: I see it's bright, with the sharpen areas. I see the big change coming up and there is no blur. And! No need for auto focus, I know exactly which areas to sharpen, so I’ll do it manually, with a skill - it comes with the experience...

Yeah, it’s just like making the photograph.

Some of you people who still continue to check on this web page every single day might notice this is not the most frequently & freshly updated blog in the planet Earth but hey, it's still a pretty damn good one to follow if you ask me ! ;-)

So I'm still here, OK ? And guess what, I've been working on some exciting projects and I'm sure you guys don't want to be the last to hear about it, AM I RIGHT ? So keep coming because you know how I suck at keeping secrets very long !!

All right, glad we're still on the same page (literally). So for today, if you haven't already saw it on facebook - there's been a little interview published with me and here's the link of it (click). I love the title the journalist friend Mojca Vakselj used for it: When I'll be big, I'll be Vivenne Westwood. Pretty much a PERFECT title to me and sounds good also in slovenian : ) !

Next thing I wanted to share with you, and I will now tell you something even my mom doesn't know yet : I am finally learning the language of love & sex, oh yes - Marta Lamovsek is learning French !! And let's just say, i'll hopefully soon be able to say a few more words than just the obvious ones because I've been lucky enough to have a veeery special personal teacher...

Unleash The Sexual Confidence.

I knooooow, but this summer has been pretty WILD - If you know what I'm sayin 8-) After my graduation show at St Martins in London (in June, the last time I posted here) I went home to Slovenia for a project where I was a photography mentor to slovenian most successful ex model agent Stane Hering. After one week of workshop I went to a road trip with one of my dearest girlfriend Anika to Dolomiti mountains in Italy, where we had some unleashing the girls craziness and all sorts of stuff I can't share here ;-) Oh, there was a Thelma & Louise moment, meaning the best one in that movie - ah-ha, you know exactly what I mean...

Okaaj, so after that awesomeness I went directly to Vienna, I was spending 25 days as a official photographer at the world's biggest dance festival ImpulsTanz. And what an amazing experience that was! I was having the time of my life - collaborating with so many wooooohow people - felt really grateful for being a part of it and I wish to be there next year again! Lucky me, I've been a guest - living with two dear friends and one of the most amazing couple Ajda Es and Tomaž Plahuta - must say that after a few days now I already miss them mucho!

So 4 days ago I came back home, and before I managed to unpack my stuff (mess, messy, messier), I went on a little road trip in a little cabriolet with a sexy woman - well, I was hired by her for a photo session. So, my job was to shot a very sassy, smart and successful slovenian in the island of Croatia. (See the shot on this post - and for now, I'll keep it a secret who is she... ;-)

After another week in Slovenia where I will be having the second part of my teaching workshop my next project is in London where I will be returning on 20th of August. Fingers crossed I will be shooting for a lingerie brand from UK.

Hm, looks like my life has brought me back to my "sexuality roots" - because it seems I will be in the near future photographing more and more the women who knows how to unleash the sexual confidence...

...and boy, I like to stick around to capture that.
